Students who successfully complete the Cúrsa Cinnireachta and receive a position as Cúntóir will only be required to pay a fee of €700 for summer course. A further €200 will be refunded to students who achieve a job and do satisfactory work as Cúntóirí on the Summer course. The Cúrsa Cinnireachta will focus on the various skills required by a Cúntóir on the Summer course including Games, Music, Dance, Child Safety, First Aid and basic organisational skills.

The Course is suitable for past-students of the College who have achieved the Gradam Cúntóireachta on a previous course. A small number of places may be available to other past-pupils who are attending the Cúrsa Ardteiste which runs concurrently.

Attending this Cúrsa Cinnireachta is well worth it. BUT IT CANNOT be guaranteed that there will be a place left for people who apply after 1st February … even for those who have achieved a Gradam Cúntóireachta – as the number allowed on the course is limited and it is very popular. So send your form + €250.00 now.

The Fee will cover:

Course Costs, Total Costs 5 days Accommodation and total cost of travel from Dublin or Galway and back. All information will be sent to you a week before the start of the Course.

Assistants:

If you pass the Course, you will be qualified to act as an Assistant in the College during the summer and you will have the chance to apply for a position as Head of College once you have passed the Advanced Test.

Senior leaders:

After the Course, you will be qualified to be Head of any Irish College. This qualification is very valuable on your CV. The College’s New Heads will be chosen from the 3rd Level students who take this course. Assistants who have already done the Course and who are applying for a position as Senior Leader do not need to do the Leadership Course this year.

Jobs:

Jobs as Assistants will be allotted immediately after the Course is over. The positions of the Senior Leaders will be arranged with the Senior Leaders in advance by completing a satisfactory Course.

Other Events:

Games will be organized: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Fun Games and more.Debates and Board Quizzes will be organised.Ceilidhs and Music Sessions will be organised. 3rd Levie Students will have the opportunity to go out at night.
